What is the Race for the Cure?
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series is the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created. Funds raised during the Komen Race for the Cure® Series support the Komen vision of a world without breast cancer. The Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. At the 25rd annual Orange County Race for the Cure 16,000 participants raised $1.6 million making it one of the largest participatory, charity event of its kind in our County.
The purpose of The Pink Cheer Zone:
We want every participant at the Race for the Cure to feel inspired throughout the entire event and encouraged while they run or walk the 5K and 1 mile course. The Pink Cheer Zone provides a much needed boost along the 5k course and a well-deserved celebratory moment at the finish line for all.
