Volunteer: Who made a difference in your life?

Help us make a difference in a child's life.

Our dynamic group of talented volunteers creates a rich atmosphere for our students that is conducive to learning and provides countless opportunities for students to discover their own gifts and areas of interest. Volunteers are role models for our students and serve as examples to our community of how one person can make a big difference.

Participating in the growth and development of our youth is both challenging and rewarding. As volunteers, we are helping to shape the future today, not just in the lives of those we serve, but in our own lives as well. The relationships we build make us better people. We begin to understand that volunteering is not just a civic duty or moral obligation; it is a way of life. The results are healthier neighborhoods and a deeper sense of community.

On behalf of THINK Together, our partnering schools and communities, and the children we serve, we thank all of our dedicated volunteers.

1.“Guest Chef” Program- prepare and drop off a nutritious dinner of your choice for our homeless clients (30 people). Each night, we serve a hot dinner at both of our shelter locations in Laguna Beach – all provided by local volunteers.  2. Sack lunches- Provide a nutritious lunch for our shelter clients! We accept up to 30 per day at each of our shelters. A typical lunch includes: a sandwich, fruit/veggies, crackers/chips/sweet treat, and a bottled water. Some volunteers prepare and deliver sack lunches on a weekly/monthly basis.

 3. Supply drives- Help us to provide our clients with essentials like socks, shoes, toiletries, etc. If you are interested in organizing a supply drive or ordering supplies on our behalf, our Amazon Wish List can be used as a guide or to place orders directly to be delivered to our shelter. Volunteer: Serve Supper at Thomas House

Thomas House offers an engaging opportunity for volunteers called Serving Supper. On Thursday nights our parents attend a mandatory life skills class. They get home from work and often do not have the time to prepare dinner for their families before they have to go to the class. We ask different groups of volunteers come with food for the shelter and arts and crafts or activities for the children on Thursday nights. It is family friendly, kids of all ages are welcome to attend with their parents.

We are looking for groups of people (businesses, churches, youth groups, etc.) to plan a dinner for our kids and their parents! Pot lucks are most welcome and we also have a BBQ! Dinner should serve about 50-60 people.

Bring the whole family for this fun and interactive evening!
