Grandma's House of Hope

Who We Are

Grandma’s House of Hope operates 11 housing sites strategically integrated throughout residential neighborhoods across Orange County, providing 131 year-round emergency and transitional housing beds for vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness in Orange County.

Our housing model differs significantly from traditional large-scale shelters, which comprise the majority of emergency housing options in Orange County. Participants live in safe, warm, and welcoming single-family homes that foster dignity, belonging, and community. Walking into one of our homes feels less like entering a shelter and more like visiting friends and family.

What We Do

Our mission is to provide vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness in Orange County with emergency and transitional housing to regain stability, well-being, and lasting self-sufficiency.

Beyond providing housing, we offer comprehensive, individualized wrap-around services designed to address each participant’s unique needs. Through dedicated staff and community partners, we support the whole person by providing case management, individual and group therapy, life-skills education, personal finance and budgeting support, substance use disorder counseling, employment development services, wardrobe assistance, physical healthcare, and much more.

Participants also have access to a variety of workshops each month that promote personal growth and independence. Topics range from practical life skills—such as cooking, housekeeping, banking, credit building, and résumé development—to activities that support mental health and self-expression, including creative arts, exercise classes, stress management, and wellness programs.

In addition, we collaborate with a network of community partners that help participants overcome barriers to success by providing critical services at no cost. These partnerships offer resources such as no-cost optometry services and corrective eyewear, workforce training, professional wardrobe assistance, genetic disorder testing, food security support, healthcare services, and other essential resources that help individuals move forward on their path toward stability and independence. Through compassionate housing, personalized support, and strong community partnerships, Grandma’s House of Hope creates opportunities for individuals to heal, rebuild their lives, and achieve long-term success.
