In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on Wednesday, March 2, join volunteers across the nation as we foster literacy in our local communities and read to students. Please RSVP to obtain school assignment.
- Activity is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Reading locations will be at various elementary schools throughout Santa Ana
- There will be 1 - 2 volunteers reading to each classroom
- School location will be provided along with other instructions (by Wednesday, February 24)
- Volunteers are encouraged to bring a book (K-5 reading level) to read to the class and donate to the school after the activity
- An early RSVP is appreciated and will help ensure all volunteers receive their respective locations in a timely manner
- All volunteers will be asked to complete this waiver prior to the activity - all volunteers under 18 will need to have their parent or guardian complete the bottom portion
Students enjoy being read to and seeing new faces in their classrooms. In addition, reading can help reach the FACE 2024 Education Goal: Cut the high school dropout rate in half. For more information on FACE 2024 click here.
