Description

Disaster Sheltering:

As a Shelter Service Associate, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming environment for people displaced by disasters. Volunteering in Red Cross shelters, you’ll support day-to-day operations— whether it’s greeting clients, assisting with registration, serving meals, managing dormitory spaces, or providing information and support.

No experience needed! Free online training will be provided.

We are seeking those able to travel outside of their local area, a commitment of at least 14 consecutive days, working 8- or 12-hour shifts, is required. When hurricanes, wildfires, and other disasters strike, families are left without the basics — food, shelter, and comfort. You can be the one who helps them begin to recover. Deploy across the country to deliver shelter, supplies, and support when it’s needed most.

SCHEDULE Available to respond to disasters. 14 consecutive day deployments.

QUALIFICATIONS – Must be 18 years or older. Must live in Orange County, California. Bilingual a plus. Must be able to deploy for 14 consecutive days. Must have valid driver's license.
