Description

Disaster Shelter Resident Transition:

When housing is disrupted in communities after a disaster, it can be difficult for some people to find new long-term housing. The Shelter Resident Transition Service Associates help shelter residents create personalized plans to overcome roadblocks and transition to new housing. They play a critical role in reducing disaster-caused displacement and aiding in long-term recovery for individuals.

If you want to alleviate human suffering by shortening the time of disaster caused displacement, this is the perfect role for you!

We are seeking those able to travel outside of their local area, a commitment of at least 14 consecutive days, working 8- or 12-hour shifts, is required. When hurricanes, wildfires, and other disasters strike, families are left without the basics — food, shelter, and comfort. You can be the one who helps them begin to recover. Deploy across the country to deliver shelter, supplies, and support when it’s needed most.
