The Brookhurst Reading Room is a project designed to increase the joy and pleasure of reading at Brookhurst Junior High School.. The Reading Room will help students by fostering literacy, creativity and reflection by providing a room specifically designated to reading for pleasure.
Friday, 1/16 9am-12pm assist in preparing the Brookhurst Reading Room by stocking books, painting, and setting up furniture to help create a warm and comfortable location for student use.
Donations appreciated: Seating (bean bags, relaxing chairs etc.) book shelving or carousels, Book tables to read at, accessories- lighting for ambiance, room dividers to create smaller spaces and nooks.
