Who We Are
Pathways of Hope believes that everyone deserves a roof over their head and food on the table. We are a non-profit organization based in Fullerton and Anaheim, and we serve all of North Orange County. Every day we work hard to provide food, shelter, and housing services to hundreds of homeless and low-income members of our community.
Pathways operates four food pantries: Community based HUB of Hope in Fullerton and two community college food pantries at NOCE College and Cypress College.
Pathways has been serving North Orange County since 1975. Our efforts are supported by local congregations, individuals, businesses, the United Way, and grants from foundations and government agencies. After almost 50 years of service to our community, Pathways continues to grow and expand, always adapting to the ever-changing landscape of hunger and homelessness in our community.
What We Do
Pathways of Hope is committed to rebuilding lives of the hungry and homeless in Orange County through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Engagement.
Once a family or individual has become homeless, the path back to stability can be very challenging. Pathways of Hope offers several housing options to fit different situations, all with the goal of helping families and individuals re-gain permanent housing as quickly as possible. Through the assistance of case managers, career counselors, and housing specialists, we work with each client to eliminate the barriers that are keeping them from returning to a home of their own.
Pathways of Hope also operates a resource center, the HUB of Hope, which offers emergency food and hygiene items to homeless and low-income families and individuals in Orange County. Pathways of Hope operates all food pantries using a Client Choice Model of food distribution, wherein clients are able to select the food items that best fit their households’ needs, instead of receiving a standardized bag of food. Pathways of Hope’s volunteers assist with food rescue from several local grocery stores, allowing us to provide fresh produce and dairy products along with non-perishable goods.
We also operate one community-based food pantry in Fullerton and two community college food pantries: NOCE College and Cypress College.
Pathways of Hope offers a wide array of volunteer opportunities to engage members of the community in our quest to rebuild lives of the hungry and homeless. Volunteers are able to serve on special event task forces, assist in operating the food distribution program, help with administrative tasks, and offer support with maintenance, just to name a few opportunities.
